We want to bring to your attention a recent development from HUD that may impact your HUD funded programs and related documents.
HUD recently required a grantee to revise and resubmit their Consolidated Plan within just 24 hours due to concerns related to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) language. This action underscores how closely HUD is reviewing DEI content and the urgency with which they are responding.
This may signal a shift toward more rigorous review of not only Consolidated Plans but also supporting materials such as:
- Policies and Procedures
- Subrecipient Agreements
- Citizen Participation Plans
- Affirmative Marketing Plans
- Other HUD-related documents
We encourage clients to be proactive in reviewing these materials to help avoid last-minute revisions or compliance concerns. At RSG, we’re keeping a close eye on these developments because we care about our clients’ success and want to help you stay ahead of potential issues. While we know our clients are highly capable, we also recognize how quickly the regulatory landscape can shift.
We’re here to support you with:
- Comprehensive Document Review – Assessing your Consolidated Plan and related materials for potentially problematic language or areas lacking justification.
- Practical Revisions – Helping you align your documents with HUD’s current expectations—without overhauling your entire approach.
- Strategic Guidance – Providing insights and recommendations to strengthen compliance and reduce risk across your HUD-funded programs.
We have attached a copy of the HUD letter referenced above. It may serve as a useful reference in your internal review process. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at info@rsgsolutions.com if you’d like to schedule a review or have questions about how this could affect your programs.
