RSG is thrilled to announce the addition of Jessica Gonzales as one of our newest Directors! With nearly two decades of local government expertise spanning cities across Southern California, Jessica brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the RSG team. She is a proven collaborator and results-oriented leader who has effectively led the cities of Anaheim, Corona, Lake Forest, and Santa Ana in developing economic growth and revitalization strategies that resulted in job creation, business expansion, safe communities, and resilient local economies.

Jessica’s professional accomplishments include leading the City of Corona’s efforts on the citywide Economic Development Strategy and Downtown Revitalization Plan, creating the Anaheim Economic Developing Team responsible for more than 100 business expansions, and launching innovative shop local and job creation and retention programs for the Cities of Corona and Lake Forest. Her professional career has been rooted in collaboration, compassion, and a thoughtful approach to the needs of local communities.

“Throughout my career in local government, I often found myself in a mentorship role with my peers in surrounding cities. I happily shared insights, best practices, and models for economic development and enjoyed seeing their plans come to fruition. Working at RSG allows me to continue to support California cities, by directly partnering with them on strategic initiatives.”

Jessica’s direct understanding of local government needs, ability to garner community support for strategic goals and action items, and history of effectively mobilizing resources allow RSG to expand its offerings to City clients. She embarks on every challenge with enthusiasm and a commitment to improving the quality of life of the local community. Her background, government experience, and demonstrated ability to turn economic development goals into implementable strategies make Jessica an invaluable addition to RSG.

Jessica holds a master’s degree in public policy from Pepperdine University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Cal State Fullerton, University. She is a proud member of the California Association of Local Economic Development, ICMA Women Leading Government, and Municipal Management Association of Southern California.
