The City retained RSG for its vast strategic growth expertise and industry connections in these two areas to help with their economic development needs. First, RSG determined the feasibility of a technology business incubator in a City property. This involved evaluating market demand, potential customer needs, competing uses, site needs, partner support, and input. The process included interviewing comparable business incubators, conducting a public survey, and synthesizing findings and additional research in a report. Information gained from the study will be leveraged for a grant application to the Economic Development Administration (EDA) when circumstances are optimal. RSG is also assisting the City create an active mixed-use project that includes breweries, distilleries, wineries, and other similar anchors, including coordinating meetings with site selectors to provide initial input in site development needs and assess local demand.
